These tags are inputted onto the webpage by the website designer and are then read by the web designing software. They are translated into the pictures and texts that can be seen on the websites by the end users. The HTML tags are not the only things required to build or design a website. There are some other complex stuffs that require something more than HTML tags to get them displayed. Such stuffs are videos; sounds and animations. You will need to make use of plug-ins to get these stuffs displayed. Some of the plug-ins you can make use of are Adobe flash; QuickTime and Java. There is also the possibility of embedding these plug-ins into a website by using the well known HTML tags.

In website designing; it is also very important to understand the usage of the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS). This had been very useful in the manipulation and positioning of web page elements and objects. New stuffs are being added to web designing as the world advances. There are researches been carried out on how to provide more ease to website designing and addition of various forms of great stuffs without the use of any form of plug-in.
